At 2212 EST, BCFR was dispatched to a possible structure fire. When SE112 and ST124 arrived, they discovered Chef Albert had burned a batch of croissants, after checking for fire, the crews brought out some BCECo ventilation fans and aired out the restaurant.
All units where clear at 2225.

"SR-115 to COMM" "go ahead SR-115" "SR-115 requesting an engine and power, we just found a manhole fire at the intersection of main and maple" This morning at approximately 1130 EST BCFR Rescue 115 was returning to quarters after a welfare check when they came across a manhole fire. They called it in and SE-112 responded to the scene. The local power company also shut off power to that area. Once SE-112 arrived they confirmed power was shut off and then flooded the street and the service entrance using a 2 1/2 inch crosslay attack line. All units were clear 10 minutes later, and the local power company made repairs.
"BCFR SB-100, SR-115, ST-124 Technical Rescue, person trapped on roof, box 1110 1125" On the morning of December 22, BCFR is dispatched to a person stuck on a roof. Battalion 100, Truck 124 and Rescue 115 responded. Upon arrival, the crews discovered a chimney repairman who had slipped on the icy roof and fell down to the side, becoming trapped. Truck 124 extended their ladder and the rest of the crews retrieved a rescue net. The repairman was fine and sustained no injuries, the crew packed up and left less than 10 minutes after arriving.
"SB-100, SE-135 possible structure fire: 125 Freedom Drive, Box 1125" At around 19:20 EST, a call was received about a structure fire. Battalion 100 and SE-135 were dispatched first. Upon arrival Chief Studsky did a 360 and spoke with the owner, who states the fire was caused by a faulty welder, this led to a chain reaction that set off explosions in the pressurized shielding gas tanks. Meanwhile the 3 man crew of SE-135 are pulling 2 attack lines and preparing for an offensive attack. "SB-100 to COMM, confirmed structure fire, requesting SE-112 and SR-115" While attacking the blaze, SE-135's crew is backed up by the arrival of SE-112 and SR-115, SR-115 provides RIT support and extra equipment, while SE-112 provides extra manpower for the offensive attack. "SB-100 to COMM, under control, starting overhaul" After a quick knockdown, the crews start overhaul and clean up, clearing the scene a half hour later. "BCFR SB-100, SE-112, SE-135, SR-115 Structure fire, Corner of Main street and Maple avenue Box 1100 Time 2315"
After an exhausting 45 minute attack from the two deck guns and multiple hand lines, the fire was beat back to a manageable level, and the crews began overhaul and clean up lasting well past midnight. Crews on scene: SB-100, SE-112, SE-135, SR-115, EMS 1-4, EMS 1-1 All pictures:
At approximately 1130 EST, BCFR Engine 112 responded to a small dumpster fire off main street. Arriving in about 2 minutes they find smoke with no flames showing, a pre-connect crosslay was stretched to the fire and it was extinguished within seconds.
