Today SBFD was dispatched to a fuel spill/ hazmat incident on oak street. This call was our new Engine 12's first call. Being right across the street and according to our response procedures 12 was first on scene followed closely by our BATT. Chief. The crew of E12 immediately started to size up the scene and get ready for cleanup as rescue 13 came from chinatown to assistant in the hazmat situation. 1 hour later the scene was cleared. There is no known cause to the puncture in the gas tank, NMCSO is investigating the cause.
The new Ladder 34 will be a HAF51T 51-FT Tower ladder. Stay tuned for more details!!!
Our new Engine 12 is being built today. It is a 2017 pierce velocity. Our old E12 was donated to the town of North Brickford. Here are a few pictures of the computer designed rig. please note, this is a computer rendition of the rig, It may not come out the way it looks on this picture.
Due to the amount of use, the following rigs will be replaced with newer, tougher versions. E12, L34. Thanks! Stay tuned for updates!
NMCD Received a call from the local sheriff substation about a house. The back part of the roof had collapsed causing injuries to the owner and his friend who were about to go fishing. Medic 33, Rescue 13, and Ladder 34 Responded quickly due in part to the fact that one of the 2 SBFD stations is so close. Today NMCD received a call about a car accident or MVC. SBFD was dispatched as normal but when they arrived the scene was anything but normal, the pictures below explain it all.
