I will always remember the day I learned about it. One day I asked my mom and dad why the flags were always at half mast on 9/11, they told me what had happened and told me to never forget it, and to pass on the story to the next generation. There were thousands of people that lost their lives that day. Thousands lost their lives in the towers, hundreds in the pentagon and hundreds more on the 4 planes. My mom and dad told me we need to remember them and their families too. Every year, on 9/11 I watch "9/11 - The firefighters story" it is a powerful reminder of the sacrifice that took place that day, and it is very humbling to see. Today, I am officially dedicating Truck 134 in memory of all those who lost their lives may they never be forgotten. Truck 134 is pictured here flying an American flag. (please note, the front outrigger is retracted to see the patch, this is not a mistake) They will be the only company in the city to have a custom company patch, pictured here: #neverforget911
Hey everybody, I am happy to announce my latest rig, Rescue 115, a 2020 Ford F550 SVI Custom Light Rescue. It was not hard to build, however, it took...no joke...4 hours to dig through my LEGO collection to find all the bricks. only took a half hour to build and an hour to decal. Total build time: 5 1/2 hours This means I will not be able to build anymore IRL until I put in my very first bricklink order. To date, this is my best (and favorite) rescue truck, and it is the first one I have built in 2 years.I threw as many decals as possible on to it for even more detail. Here are the Tech specs: Rescue 115 is a 2020 Ford F-550 SVI Light Rescue Technical specs: 330-hp diesel engine 22 kW generator On-board air compressor Holmatro extraction tools (air-powered and battery operated) Forcible entry tools Search and rescue equipment Paratech struts I recently designed an Expedition SSV for each of the districts. Each of these vehicles is a 2020 Ford Expedition SSV used by the District Chief or on duty Safety Officer.
Left to right. Brickford City District 1, "The South District": Battalion 100 Brickford City District 2, "The East District": Battalion 200 Brickford City District 3, "The North District": Battalion 300 Brickford City District 4, "The West District": Battalion 400 OK, I'll admit...My department structure is rather confusing and unorthodox. Today, I am writing this blog to explain the structure here.
So first, The rebrand. Originally it was North and South Brickford, but as I added East and West, I wanted them to be more unified. So I did just that, I renamed it from Brickford to Brickford City and Brickford City Fire Rescue. With this rebrand I changed a few things, first, these towns are now districts, think of them as their own battalions..actually, that is exactly what they are. Second, I changed the numbering system. Each district is assigned a number and that number is placed in front of their unit number, example: Engine 112. District (1) Engine (12). this goes up to 400. Next, I designated each district for a certain role. North and south are the bustling Urban/Suburban area with traffic, lights, and a whole lotta fire apparatus. East and West are the "specialty districts" East is industrial, with chemical plants, laboratories, airport and shipping ports they have a small yet capable group of custom built boats, ARFF, industrial, and hazmat apparatus. West is "the middle of no place" hiking trails, forests, and spread out, old farmhouses. (important note, North, West, and East are all planned, not actually built yet.) Now, I also recently added Brickford City EMS (BEMS) and they are the sole provider of EMS in the city. their numbering system is simple: (district)-(unit). So with the basics down lets dive deeper. First up: South Brickford/District 1. These units are given the 100-199 callsigns. Brickford City EMS as a 1-(unit number) for this district. The rigs here are Urban Spec. Second up: East Brickford/District 2. These units are given the 200-299 callsigns. Brickford City EMS as a 2-(unit number) for this district. The rigs here are Urban Spec. Forth: North Brickford/District 3. These units are given the 300-399 callsigns. Brickford City EMS as a 3-(unit number) for this district. The rigs here are Industrial Spec. Third: West Brickford/District 4. These units are given the 400-499 callsigns. Brickford City EMS as a 4-(unit number) for this district. The rigs here are wildland Spec. I hope this helps with the crazy organization I have here! After successfully putting into service the first BEMS fleet, I have decided to start designing a city-wide EMS SpecOps fleet. This fleet is a small special operations fleet that operates throughout the whole city, rather than one unit for each of the districts, this will cut down on costs. They are designated as the "BC" units which stands for Brickford City. The first being BC 12, a paramedic intercept vehicle. This is a prototype computer draft. BC-12 is a 2020 Ford Expedition. The others will be used as special Rescue (collapse, swift water, etc) trucks and logistical support.
